NEWS

   IS HERE!!

Koha is an open source library system used all over the world.  VALNet libraries have been making preparations to begin using the Koha system on April 23rd.  We are very excited about this move and have been working to make it as smooth for both patrons and staff as possible.

Patrons using the online catalog will find a new look and improved features.  Click on VALNet below to check out the new system.

 e-books and e-audios now available!

Love reading all your favorite books for free from the library?  Have an e-reader but don't want to buy each book you download?   Library patrons are now able to have their cake and eat it, too.

Through OverDrive, patrons are able to check out library e-books and audios from the VALNet Digital Collection and read or listen on Kindles, iPads, iPods, Nooks, Sony Readers, MP3 players, and other devices right from their home computers, or, depending on the device, using just the device itself.  Patrons will need to do a one-time download of free software onto their computer and/or device, then access the VALNet Digital Collection through the VALNet website
Informational materials is available at your local library.  C
heck out OverDrive for general information about compatible devices, supported formats, and OverDrive Media Console, the software used to manage your library downloads.
