This is one of my favorite books. I have read other books by Sherman Alexie and have liked them; however, I could not read "Indian Killer" - it was too gruesume. This book is of particulr interest to young people because it's what often happens in high schools. The book describes the life of an Indian boy and it seems quite similar to the life of the Indians in our surrounding area.
I think you would relate to the happenings in the book and would find it of great interest even though it is sad at times. I hope you will read it. There is a copy of it and all the other summer reading books at the library so I hope you will check them out.

I just finished this book and I must admit, I'm adding it to my "favorites!" Alexie did a fine job of breaking my heart and making me laugh, pretty much simultaneously. This was a short, pleasant summer read, and a must read for everyone!
