I loved the characters in the book. There was great character development. Although I am somewhat familiar with the happenings during World War II, this book was from a different viewpoint - the children involved made the book unique. Please let me know what you thought about the book.

I really liked this book. I've never read a book that told the story of WWII from the prespective of the people in Nazi Germany and the struggles they faced under Hitler. Before I read the book, when I thought of Nazi Germany, I assumed that they all agreed with what Hilter was doing and were behind hime 100%. We here stories of the struggles the people in the countries he conquered and the people he suppressed, but rarely do you hear of the struggles of the people in Germany who were not Jewish or some other persecuted race.
